Who are you?
My name is Chantal and i'm 20 years old.

Can you tell something interesting about the place where you grew up?
I was born in Amsterdam and grew up there. I lived in Osdorp till the age of 12. Then i moved to Nieuw Sloten. In the early days you could always find me playing on the street. Blikie trap, hutten bouwen in de bosjes, football, stoepranden were my favorite things to do. But the best thing was bullying other children.

What are you doing now?
I'm studying Digital Media Design at the academy of Art. It means i'm making webpages, cd-roms, animations, writing interactive scenarios etc. I'm working as a waitress in a yuppie bar. It's always very busy there aspecialy on the friday afternoon.

What are your hobbies?
Three times a week i'm doing fitness at the Universitie Gym. I find fitness very boring, but it's important to me that my body is in great shape. If i got the time i like to read. My best book is Lord of the rings. Books are food for the brain!! Uuhhh.... O yeah i almost forgot listning to music going out with my friends and last but not least MAN!

Do you have a boyfriend/girfriend?

What experience did you have that taught you something, that changed your life?
I have been twice to Africa. The way they live over there with so little had a big impact on me. Nature was also very impressive. These trips made me more curious about the rest of the world.

What is your favorite music, movie, food, place, book, newspaper, politician?
I like al sorts of music Rock, Soul, Punk, Club etc. A couple of examples: Radiohead, Aphix Twin, Groove armada, Autechre, Kruger and Dorfmeister, Live, Korn. Watching movies is very relaxing. Movies: At the moment the movie "Lost Highway" is on the top of my list followed my "Festen" and "Pulp Fiction". Place: Traveling is a part of my life. I want to learn about other countries and religions. it's one of my main goals for life to see and learn whats this world is about, and its beauties. For that reason i'm very serious doing my study. A good job makes it possible to do what ever I want without thinkg about the money.

What do you think of the Maasstraat 14 house?
We dont life in the best part of the city but that doesnt matter because im not home often. The house we life in is big but very old. It should be renovated. I have got the biggest room in the house. There are not many things in my room, just a bed, a closet and a desk. i love space.

Say something about your housemates.
Yvonne: "Chantal... why can't you remove your stuff out of the kitchen??" I can laugh with yvonne because she is a little conservative and she's sweet. Raphaël is his my roommate but also a good friend, he's got a special place in my heart (with Yvonne, too). (we hang out in the pub too often!! we shouldn't drink so much!)
